I noticed the top one but I never noticed the one in SZS… Woah!

So much is on screen and happens so fast in sayonara zetsubou sensei I sit with my hand on the pause button. It’s even worse having to read the subtitles. The manga is a lot easier with the much slower frame rate.

The SZS anime seems to be littered with Genshiken references – and I’ve only made it to the start of the second series! The ‘Shiiou University’ placard, the ‘Tanaka Ichirou’ entry in the class register and a box with ‘Genshiken 2’ scribbled on it are ones that come to mind. I’ve probably not seen the last of them…
