Got a Pocketful of Rainbows, Don’t Know What to Do With ‘Em

Others and I will be attending the Union Square showing of the one-night-only US theatrical premiere of Psalms of Planets Eureka Seven: Good night, sleep tight, young lovers, which is sure to be a rip-roaring good time and a great way to spend an evening. I’ve actually already seen the movie, but I wouldn’t pass the chance up to see it in a theater. The theater showing will be dub only, but it isn’t that much of a problem, and I’m interested in seeing how the dub crew tackles this movie.

If you want to read my review of the the E7 movie, it’s right here.

I also managed to win a copy of volume 1 of the Eureka Seven light novel adaptation, so there’s a good chance I’ll be reviewing that some time in the future. Who knows when though; I still have a Gundam 00 Second Season Review to write!

  1. I was going to go see this at the Daly City theater because its closer to my apartment, but now I might go to the showing on Market Street if I know more people are going to be there. Either way, I love this series to death and back so I’m seeing this movie tonight without fail.

  2. I saw this last night in the theater and the best way I could describe it is to put Eureka 7 in a blender with Peter Pan and some acid and then puree and chug :) I kind of liked it and I kind of didn’t like it all at the same time, if that makes sense. I knew going in that it was going to be a bit of a re-telling of the story … so I wasn’t shocked with the plot … but the plot did have some odd twists and turns. anyway … just MHO :)

  3. I saw this movie a few months ago and recently again in theatres in the states and was wondering if you had an opinion on the coloring.

To me the coloring seems off, and some of the scenes even looked black and white. I was hoping for different coloring from what I had seen from my alternative source prior but it seemed to be just the same. So far i’m the only one that i’ve seen mention anything about the coloring.

  4. i wanted the movie online and it was really good…. unfortunately they mixed up storyline for the series with the movie. i was expecting it be different but i still really liked it. does anyone know of any place where u can get the dvd volumes cause i want some but i can buy them online, im still broke but i really want them. ive watched this show like three time sand i just wanna keep watching it.. go eureka seven!!!!
