Ogiue Maniax Talking Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans S2 on the Veef Show Podcast

It’s another go at Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans on the Veef Show! Following our season 1 podcast, we discuss the finale to this newest series. I’m warmer on the series while Veef is colder, but it’s interesting discussion overall.

Ogiue Maniax Talking Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans on the Veef Show Podcast

fumitan

I stopped by the Veef Show to discuss the latest Mobile Suit Gundam series, Iron-Blooded Orphans. Have a listen, as we have fairly different perspectives on the show, and I’d love to know what you think of the series as well.

For reference, the post I mentioned about McGillis can be found here, and the series I mention at the end of the podcast that I have begun chapter reviewing is here.

So in conclusion, Fumitan Admoss is the best.

Aquarion Logos, or “Words Can Hurt”: Ogiue Maniax on the Veef Show Podcast

aquarionlogos-nishikinomaki

Years ago, I appeared on the Veef Show to talk about the anime Aquarion Evol, so it’s only natural that I would make a return for its sequel, Aquarion Logos. We go over just how strange the show is, even compared to its predecessors, as well as the merits of its unorthodox nature.

Though I think we forget to mention it, I think it’s important to note that the show stands on its own: no need to watch the prequels! In fact, they’re pretty much unrelated (aside from that first episode, which is more of a 0 episode).

Ogiue Maniax on the Veef Show Reviewing M3: The Dark Metal

m3mainvisual

Once more I’ve joined up with mecha fan and toy collector Veef to review a Satelight anime. This time we’re talking about M3: The Dark Metal, a show which presents the combination of Sato Jun’ichi as director (Sailor Moon, Ojamajo Doremi, Kaleidostar) and Okada Mari as writer (Lupin III: The Woman Called Mine Fujiko, Aquarion EVOL, Anohana). It’s an interesting show with some…mixed results.

Ogiue Maniax on The Veef Show’s AKB0048 Podcast

A new podcast is out where the Veef and myself discuss that most radical of idol-themed science fiction anime, AKB0048.

We cover personal opinions on the show, the influence of director Kawamori Shouji and writer Okada Mari, favorite characters, trends in current and old anime, and I make a remark about AKB0048‘s connection to neo-Marxist theory.

AKB0048 is available on Crunchyroll for free.

Family Re- Union, Go! Aquarion Evol… Review Podcast!!

I was a guest recently over at the The Veef Show, where its illustrious host VF5SS and I reviewed Aquarion Evol.

Just as a warning, the podcast is super spoilery with little to no warning, and we sometimes go off on odd tangents.

Have a listen.
